Requiem

The former paradise has turned into a muddy tomb.
You lied there on the chaotic torn pile-ups of
the saturated and swollen bodies.
Heat and the simmering sound of waves have somehow
turned the whole beach into
a trial for the living
and a live hellish scene for the heart-brokened.
All the remains floats with
howling and endless mourning
Distress and bereavement
Your angelic smile also drifts
and hovers in the air
like those chimney sweep boys
This is the most devestating loss
of your country
of the history
we couldn't even burry you in the sea
but let you expose in the sun
watch your body rotten, decayed and
be the host of nameless germs and
the source of corruption
Close your eyes, my young soul
from then on
You do not have to bear the sight of
concern, worry and fear of lack.
From now on,
you would be remembered as
one of the thousands of
invisible names carved in people's memory,
on the monument, and in the lyrics of
this requiem.
