Fine

You say fine when you are really not.
That "fine" to your "are you all right" comes shortly
after a pause.
That, my dear, signifies you are far from being fine.

Used as an adjective, it describes the state of body, as well as mind, at times.
Used as a noun, it may be the understatement of the crime,
of passion or of absent mind.

Used on couture, it depicts the antique laces, garments or high end fashion product,
for which you have to starve some days and nights, with your meager wages,
so as to fulfill the vanity, the meaningless power of consumption, the void you
console yourself and hypnotize yourself as the reward of something, some effort, and
the perhaps short-term snobbishness, conscience loss or stupidity of following
some trendies that you don't even regard as beautiful.

Used on a heated argument, it somehow has similar function as the period, the exclamation mark or an abrupt realization that puts the long unpleasant dispute to an end. Many a time, it proposes the end of certain history or suggests a prolonged distance between two discrepency. Given it more negative energy, it silences the unquiet mind and generates indifference.

Used on my spirit of the present state?

If you do not have any anticipation and if it would ever make you relieved,
then I am fine.
